Hornsea

Sanderling

We decided to increase our birding year list by visiting Hornsea this morning. Starting on the beach with obliging Sanderling, a good job really as very little else wanted to pose for my lens. At least Symphony had a good walk!

Moving on to Hornsea Mere, wildfowl increased the year list but again remained distant of my lens. A good job I had the scope in the car to tick off: Coot; Pochard; Gadwall; Tufted Duck; Goldeneye; Mute Swan and Shoveler. Also here was Pied Wagtail. Black Headed and Common Gull waited for food but were to be disappointed!

Later on a Buzzard was added making our year total so far, an embarrassing 72!
