Thornwick Pool, Flamborough

Green Sandpiper

For some reason, my left leg was painful while walking the dog this morning, so I aborted my planned four mile walk around Buckton in favour of a leisurely hour at Thornwick Pool, Flamborough. At first, all seemed quiet but I soon had four Dunlin in my lens followed by two Green Sandpipers. The silence was shattered with the arrival of c40 Grey Lag Geese with c3 Pink Footed Geese (hybrid, X?). Eleven Teal lazily dozed but very little else of not.
