Flamborough Head

Yellowhammer

My alarm went off at 0400hrs waking me [eventually] from a deep sleep! My plan was to arrive on Flamborough Head in order to capture the sunrise, then to walk around New Fall [hoping] to touch base with some migrants. Well, it was to be my day! I waited patiently for the sun to rise, but what could have been a magnificent event, was thwarted by developing thick cloud and a sea fret! Eventually, however, I was rewarded with the sun breaking through, albeit forty five minutes after sunrise!

Who lit the Beacon?

I didn't fare well locating migrants either! No sign of Redstart or Pied Flycatcher so as always, the best was made of the commoner species.
