North Norfolk - Smaller Waders - 9th - 12th September 2014

Sanderling

Sometimes you win and some times you lose. It is a lottery as to whether waders will tolerate your close proximity..........or not! One of my favourite waders, the Sanderling, a wader that I had not yet seen this year, was in quite small numbers on the beach at Titchwell and despite sitting very still and blending in with the collapsed beach building, they decided to be very "challenging" in poor light!
