Northumberland, Lindisfarne, 11th May 2014

Rock Pipit

A visit to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is always a pleasure and the prospect of invigorating, long walks is something to look forward too! The tides, of course, have to be right, and today was the only date that would avoid late returns to the mainland. Interestingly, and feeling sorry for the National Express Coach that wanted to depart before the high tide covered the causeway, became an all day stay when two passengers had not returned to meet the deadline! Year ticks in the form of Grey Plover, Rock Pipit, Rock Dove and Gannet.
