Another Common as Duck Afternoon - Napton Reservoir

Mute Swan

Well, this morning did not go as planned! On looking outside, I was greeted with thick and slow clearing fog. Oh well, household chores are building up, so better get on with a few! By lunchtime, the sun was breaking through, so I decided to take Heather to Napton Reservoir to get her a few year ticks. As expected, Napton held all of the usual duck species but in smaller numbers than seen last month. As usual, I tried to concentrate on some "interesting" images of the common species, something I get as much pleasure out of as photographing rarer wildlife.

Coot

Moorhen

Tufted Duck
