Roseate Terns - Cocquet Island, Amble, Northumberland

It is well over forty years since I observed a Roseate Tern - so well overdue! A trip was booked from the Northumberland Seabird Centre in Amble but the sea was rather "challenging". The boat was able to sail but was not able to reach the mooring off Cocquet Island, so we had to observe the Roseate Terns from a very "unsteady" platform! The journey out also provided Manx Shearwater and a Peregrine that randomly snatched its meal from the sky! Despite the rather rocky boat, I was able to obtain some record shots of the Roseate Terns.
