Draycote Water

Back to local birding with a walk around Draycote this morning. To say that it was quiet is an understatement! Only birds of note were three Little Ringed Plovers between Hensborough Bank and Rainbow Corner. It was also pleasing to see a family group of five Stoats on the rocks below Hensborough Bank.

It is good to see that the House Martins have not been too badly disturbed by the fishermen using the "new" fishing lodge. It is disappointing that the signs requesting people to avoid disturbing the birds on the north shore have been removed, no doubt to accomodate the bank fishermen.

Cheers, ShySongbird - five in total! I've never seen so many at once! Glad I did or I would have no pics to publish!
