Whitacre Heath

Well, it had to happen! Having chosen to work additional shifts on Monday and Tuesday, which turned out to be sunny spring days, my day off today was a mixture of sunny intervals, dullness and showers. Having seen some recent excellent images from Whitacre Heath, I realised that I had not visited this reserve for twelve months! It was a real pleasure sitting watching the common (and not so common) woodland birds at close quarters and eventually some good company (sorry guys, can't remember your names). Just a pity the feeding station area was rather "dark"! Only visited the feeder hide and river hide so need to go back again soon!

Woodland birds are always a pleasure to watch. Pity they are so fast - they've gone before I can press the shutter button! Cheers both.
