With all the media coverage about the breeding Spoonbill's at Holkham, it was good to be sitting in the North Hide at Cley to watch fifteen Spoonbill's drop in! Normally these birds are asleep when I see them, but just after flying in they spent time preening, feeding and taking the odd nip of each other. Then they went to sleep! Over the next couple of days, numbers fluctuated to a minimum of ten and maximum of eighteen. Unfortunately none of the birds came very close.
