Kevin you are right this poor light we keep getting is a real pain when you want a decent shot.In my garden recently I've had some good birds visit (Blackcaps/LT Tits/Goldcrest/Bullfinches) but every single time the weather has been crap.
Like the Song Thrush shots.

Cheers, Max. Interestingly, we have had very few birds in the garden over the last few years, then all of a sudden, this winter, they have increased dramatically. Feed has always been put out and more often than not, discarded, so this is not the reason. Not complaining though. The light, as you say, is diabolical.
